Witch Balls are spheres that are traditionally hung in windows or doorways to ward off evil spirits, ill fortune, and negative energies. According to folklore, witch balls trapped spirits through their shimmering surface and intricate inner designs. The bright colors and reflective glass were thought to attract and confuse malevolent entities. Once a spirit or curse drew near, it would become entranced by the displays inside of the ball and find itself caught within the reflective trap, unable to escape and sealing the spirit or curse inside until it dissipated. Witch Balls also act as symbols of protection, good luck, and spiritual harmony within the home.
